Prepare the opening details from a safe position
Tell us whether the request concerns one door, a window or several openings. Describe the visible damage, the approximate size if known, and whether the opening is at ground level or reached by stairs. Explain any area that cannot be approached safely.
You do not need to remove broken material or take exact measurements before calling. Keep people away from the damaged area. Describe what you can observe without touching unstable glass, frames or surrounding materials.
Arrange access if you cannot be on site
For a rental, vacant property or a building you manage remotely, identify a local contact who can meet the crew. Confirm that the owner or authorized manager has approved the work and can be reached when the temporary scope is discussed.
Give the Kent location and relevant access instructions directly by phone. Explain gates, locked common areas, stairs and where materials can be carried. Do not put access codes or sensitive property information into a general project description.
Separate immediate protection from the repair plan
Temporary Board-Up covers the damaged opening while the next stage is organized. It does not replace the glass or establish that a damaged door or frame has been repaired. Discuss the work included before agreeing to a visit.
If another contractor will perform the permanent repair, tell us about the intended sequence. Ask who will manage later access, whether panels must be removed and which contact should receive the handoff. A return visit or additional repair is not automatically included.
Have a useful first-call checklist
Prepare the city, property type, affected opening and a reachable decision-maker. Add the occupancy situation, any entrance that must remain available and whether there is an existing repair appointment. These details help define the request.
For urgent needs, call 206-771-5354. TimberMount accepts 24/7 Board-Up inquiries; availability and arrival timing are confirmed directly. Sending a quote form does not reserve a response time or dispatch emergency help.
Kent Board-Up questions
Can someone else meet you at the property?
Discuss an authorized on-site contact when arranging the work. Make clear who can approve the scope and who can provide access.
Does Board-Up include new glass?
No. Temporary protection and glass repair or replacement are separate. Identify who will arrange permanent repairs and confirm that scope with the appropriate provider.
How do I confirm availability?
Call with the address and opening details. No arrival time is guaranteed on this page. Online quote requests are for non-urgent planning and are not a monitored emergency dispatch channel.
